Lakehead Public Schools has been notified by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit that the potential case of COVID-19 associated with Kingsway Park Public School announced earlier today has been confirmed as positive, with an additional two confirmed cases identified at the same school.
They report at this time, there is no evidence that the virus has spread in the school setting. This is not considered an outbreak.
These individuals and anyone else identified by public health as a close contact will be required to stay home and not return to the school setting until cleared by public health.
If your child is part of that group they will be notified.
