TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD!

Introducing a new feature on The Bay. We call it – “TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD”. Danny shares ‘good news stories’ / ‘feel good stories’…kind of like your ‘daily dose of optimism’. You can hear it weekdays at 6:35am / 9:15am / 1:15pm / 4:35pm.

Here’s one from TODAY:

A blind dog in Kitchener has found a new home after she was brought to the Humane Society in rough condition. The dog’s name (which had a collar that said HONEY) – was found covered in mud was wandering around the city completely blind due to glaucoma. and needed surgery to remove both eyes. HONEY also needed dental surgery, because her teeth were damaged after chewing at the bars of a cage.

A local groomer donated her services, and a humane society volunteer made a donation toward her adoption fee. HONEY was recently adopted, after the city of Kitchener rallied behind her. The message got out there….with so many requests for her adoption. In the end….a loving home was found. The owner has two other dogs and they assured the humane society they’ll keep HONEY safe for the rest of her days!
