NWHU Adds Three New Cases Tuesday

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting three new cases of COVID-19 within their catchment area Tuesday morning.

All three of the new cases come from the Kenora health hub and are part of the 19 active cases being monitored by the regional health authority.

The NWHU tells us that number is down from the 29 active cases reported on Monday.

10 of the active cases from the Kenora area, six from the Sioux Lookout hub, two from Dryden and one from Atikokan.

On the vaccine front, the Northwestern Health Unit reports 45,882 doses administered, which translates to 57.1 per-cent of the entire 12+ population and 44 per-cent of the entire population.

The Dryden area leads the region with a 64.3 per-cent vaccinated, followed by the Kenora (62.6 per-cent) and Fort Frances (60.6 per-cent) hubs.
