Five New Variant Cases

Five cases of coronavirus in Thunder Bay could be one of the variants.

Officials with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit report four additional cases, which combines numbers from Sunday and Monday.

A single case came from someone else who had COVID-19 and one case was obtained through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.

Five other cases have been resolved, which means the active case count is 24.

Ontario reported 1,039 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and 33 deaths.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
