Council Looks To Offset COVID-19 Costs

The city’s search for savings amidst COVID-19 continues as Council asks for more information from city staff.

City Councillors voted last night to get a report by May 25th identifying the cost-saving measures the city has taken so far, and any other potential savings.

A recent report shows the pandemic is costing the city $1.4-million in extra expenses and lost revenues.

At the end of April, Council heard COVID-19 has put them $5.2-million over budget so far.
