The last of the four major teacher’s unions in the province will start the voting process on a tentative contract agreement with the province this week.
The Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation, representing public high school teachers and education workers, will be holding online voting starting this Thursday and Friday.
If the members the OSSTF do accept the deal it will mean labour peace between the Ford government the OSSTF, the English and French teacher’s unions, and the Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario.
All four had been holding rotating strikes in the months prior to March break causing a major rift with the Ford government.
With the exception of the OSSTF, the teachers in the other unions have voted to accept their new contracts with the province.
Online voting for the #OSSTF Central Tentative Agreements will occur May 14-15, 2020.
Voting will occur online through the OSSTF/FEESO Voting Centre available at – https://t.co/iIIzC1Yzxg
