The NDP are hoping to get the region’s votes with their Northern Ontario platform.
Leader Andrea Horwath unveiled it in Thunder Bay today.
“Winter road maintenance contracts are putting northerner’s lives at risk and so we are going to clean up that system and bring it back into public hands.”
The NDP leader also vows if she is elected to cut hydro bills by 30%.
She also promised to regulate gas prices.
“That’s going to mean a couple of things, we are going to make sure the price premium that’s put on gas is accountable and reasonable.” (Photo and Video by Sheri Leviski-Kotyk)
