December 27th UPDATE:
After several hours of a lane of Highway 17 being closed crews were able to remove a disabled transport truck on the highway just east of Marathon.
It had blocked off the eastbound lane of Highway 17 just under 1.5 kilometres east of the community at Peninsula Road.
The Ministry of Transportation indicates it happened just before 1:30 Thursday morning.
Cleared: #Incident #Marathon #Hwy17 EB at Peninsula Rd,(former #Hwy626 to Marathon, lane has reopened.
