Thunder Bay resident Melissa McKenzie not only is the proud mother of the city’s first baby of 2017, but has also added to her family of now three boys.
Melissa says she was a week overdue, with her water breaking at 3am New Year’s Day.
Gabriel McKenzie was born at 4:28am, weighing in at 9lbs.
The McKenzie’s oldest, Nikolas, 7-years, didn’t want a girl because he says girls are bossy.
Melissa and her husband Greg have nothing but praise for Thunder Bay’s mid-wives organization.
