If you are a customer of Synergy North, you won’t see your bill go up until November 1st.
The company says the Ontario Energy Board approved rate increases for May 1st, but the local utility is holding off on that rise until the fall to help customers endure COVID-19.
This means a residential customer will see the bill drop by 88-cents, using 750kWh per month. Small business owners will see a drop of $2.37 for a typical bill of 2000 kWh per month.
Synergy North adds delivery rates are separate from the cost of electricity use. On April 14th, the OEB announced winter Time of Use prices will continue beyond May 1st.
