School Not Returning May 4th

Premier Doug Ford is confirming students will not be back in class May 4th.

Ford made the announcement Tuesday afternoon adding, “this doesn’t mean the school year is cancelled.”

The Premier says his Education Minister Stephen Lecce will provide more details on what students can expect at a later date.

It is the third time the province has moved the starting date for school as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first was when school was postponed by two weeks after the March break and then again classes were moved to April 6th and then to May 4th.
