Pauline Klymyk (Prystay)

On June 7, 2026, on a beautiful sunny day, Pauline Klymyk (Prystay) aged 93, passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor, Thunder Bay, with family by her side.

Pauline was born on May 22, 1933, in Vimy, Alberta.

For many years, Pauline took pride in her flowers, gardening and cooking. She was a real homemaker. She also had a flair for fashion and cosmetics. She had a special place in her heart for cats and was devoted to feeding the stray cats in the neighbourhood. Pauline enjoyed working for the Bank of Nova Scotia for many years, until she retired.

She was predeceased by her husband Tom (2018); her parents Paul and Sophie Prystay; her brothers Amol, Sydney and Eugene, and several other family members.

She will be missed by her sister Virginia (living in Paris, France); and nephew Dwayne who was a devoted caregiver and visited her regularly. Pauline will also be remembered by many family members and friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of 3 North at Hogarth Riverview Manor for the care and compassion shown to Pauline.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Northwest Animal Centre, or a charity of your choice.
