It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Glena on January 7, 2026, in Thunder Bay.
Born in North Bay, Ontario, on November 5, 1954, Pauline was raised and educated in Eastern Ontario. She moved to Thunder Bay in 1981, where she met and married her husband, Ron Glena. Pauline held various positions before beginning a long career as an Executive Office Assistant at the Blake Funeral Chapel, where she served until her retirement.
A proud resident of Westfort for over 35 years, Pauline was an active member of the community. She belonged to the Westfort Prosvita Society, was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 129) and was a dedicated member of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Catholic Women’s League. Pauline found great joy in cooking, knitting, gardening, and caring for her beloved dogs: Bear, Bandit, Brandy, Buddy, and Alphie. Above all, she cherished her family and will be remembered for the laughter and joy she shared with those closest to her.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ron; her brother, John; her sister, Jean; and her sister-in-law, Victoria. She is survived by her sons, Fred Clement (Lana) and Don Nadon (Jenn); her grandchildren, Connor (Rebecca), Olivia, Thomas, Justin, Jessica, Jonathon, and Jacob; and her great-grandson, Cooper. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM, led by Msgr. Pat Stilla. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society.
