Mrs. Jean Track

On September 4, 2025, Mrs. Jean Track (née Wronoski) passed away peacefully at her beloved summer home on Lake Lenore — the place she cherished most.

Jean’s early years were spent along Highway 61 and at the family homestead on Lake Lenore, where she cultivated a deep love for family, the outdoors and community. Through her involvement in Junior Farmers and 4-H, she made many lifelong friendships, learned the value of hard work, responsibility, resilience and compassion — qualities that would define her throughout her life, and develop her loving personality.

In her youth, Jean spent summers working at Middle Falls Gift Shop and Restaurant, scooping ice cream and serving confections to travelers and locals alike. After completing high school in Fort William, she embarked on a series of exciting and diverse careers. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Husky Oil; the former Canada Car Company, proudly contributing to Canada’s industrial efforts during the diesel Brill Bus era; and served as a Secretary at Fort William Collegiate.

It was during her time at Fort William Collegiate that Jean began what she considered her most meaningful and fulfilling role — that of a mother.

In 1961 Jean married Mike Track, and together, was instrumental in the forming of Paritas Corp. Inc. and the development of Vestavale Mobile Home Park.

Jean enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling, snowmobiling, bombing around on her jet ski, delivering jello shooters in her 1941 Willy’s Jeep and cooking, but she especially enjoyed her time at the homestead and the family camp on Lake Lenore. It was here that she was truly content, sharing it with many family members and friends that would stop by for a visit, a weekend, or one of her notable parties.

In her retirement she enjoyed travelling with friends and family, visiting Monaco, Tibet, China, Vatican City, Morelia, Alaska, the East Coast, then wintering in British Columbia, Kingsland Texas, and most recently in Cozumel.

Jean was predeceased by her parents Leon and Maraja Wronoski; in laws Nicholas and Pearl Trach; husband Mike; brothers Leon and Edward (Mary) Wronoski and Ted Wronowski of Poland; brother in law Joseph (Dorothy)Track, Frank (Yvonne)Trach and Tony Kowalski; sister in law Verna (Merlin) Kaschma and Ann (Peter) Blahut; and special uncle Leonard Starr.

Jean is survived by her loving son and daughter in law Jeff and Flo-Ann Track; sister in laws Barbarann Wronoski, and Emily Kowalski of Regina; special aunt Janet Starr; nephew Richard Wronowski; niece Rosie Stokaluk (née Wronowski); special nephew and hunting partner Bob Track; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; her family living in the United States; and so many cherished and lifelong friends.

A private family interment has been scheduled.

A Celebration of Life to honour our beloved Mother will be held at a later date, with details to be shared in due course. We look forward to gathering with family and friends to celebrate and remember a life well lived.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
