July 8, 1953 – October 15, 2025
Kim Irene (neé Miault) Rauch, 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother passed away peacefully on October 15th, 2025 in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. She was born in Kenora Ontario on July 8th, 1953.
She is predeceased by her father Martial Miault, mother Patricia (neé Harper) Miault, sister Martia (neé Miault) Jabush, and brother Peter Miault.
Kim will be missed by her husband of 47 years, Richard Rauch; daughter Lisa (Barry) Graves; grandsons Allan and Hunter; son Tyson Rauch (Jen Hamilton); grandsons Albert and Samuel; and stepsisters Michelle and Shannon.
After graduating Beaver Brae Secondary School in Kenora, Kim attended Confederation College in Thunder Bay Ontario where she studied to be a book-keeper. Kim met her lifelong companion and husband through a mutual love of skiing. They lived and raised their family together in Thunder Bay, where they eventually retired.
Kim loved all animals, especially cats and horses. She spent her free time enjoying reading, solving cross-words or jig saw puzzles and watching late night sci-fi and horror movies. Most of all she enjoyed countryside car rides in the Corvette and could be frequently heard saying “Rick, take the top down”.
Kim lived her whole life with a kind and gentle approach. She cared deeply about her family and friends. In lieu of a service or donations, we ask that you honour Kim by curling up with a good book, finishing a jig saw puzzle with family or enjoying the country breeze with the wind in your hair, tunes blaring and the pedal to the metal.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
