Doug Teskey

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Doug Teskey. Born on April 13, 1975. Sadly, Doug left us on April 4, 2026.

Doug grew up in Dryden, Ontario, Canada, a true athlete, excelling at hockey, running, golf, baseball, volleyball and boxing.

He was a fierce competitor in everything he did.

Doug left Dryden at an early age to pursue a hockey career in Thunder Bay with the Thunder Bay Flyers and earned a scholarship to play and study at the University of Anchorage Alaska.

Doug continued his hockey career with the Fort Wayne Komets, Toledo Storm and the Newcastle Vipers in the British Hockey League before settling down to create his own business and start a family in the Toledo area.

Doug left us much too early, as the great ones often do, but Doug will be remembered as a vibrant, powerful, competitive and energetic spirit.

Full of style, quick wit and a great sense of humour, Doug will live on forever in our fond memories, pushing us, ‘chirping’ us, helping us be better.

Doug was the proud and loving father of three children – Charlotte, Austin and London—they were everything to him.

At the family’s request there will be no service at this time.

Dougie, we will miss you – Dee and Clyde; James and Lara
