North-End Lot Sold For Indigenous Housing

The city is selling a Junot Avenue property to a non-profit Indigenous housing group.

Council voted to sell the land next to Superior North EMS headquarters to the Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services for around $100,000.

The last term of Council agreed to give them part of the property, worth $220,000, for 20 housing units for homeless Indigenous youth.

The city-owned land at 105 Junot Avenue South was sold to OAHS for $320,000, but the city is giving them credit for of the value of the land that had already been granted.
