Last week Netflix released the numbers for it’s original movies and series. Looking through, I’ve seen only two of the movies (I put an ‘*’ beside them) and three of the series. Of them, Stranger Things is my hands down favourite. Not sure what this means for Netflix moving forward, but it sure seems like they’re on to something good. With more and more streaming services coming out, it’s going to be the original stuff that keeps people subscribed to Netflix. I doubt I’ll buy in to any of the others, well other than Disney+ because of the Star Wars tie-in, but Netflix is going to have to keep cranking out quality original stuff like Stranger Things and Umbrella Academy to keep me interested, that’s for sure.
