Airport Admits To Software Glitch

Thunder Bay’s Airport is shocking some people after telling them they may see an unexpected charge on their credit card bill for services dating as far back as two years.

They say if you see a charge on October 18th from them, it is legitimate, noting they weren’t hacked.

Officials confirm that they had a software problem and some transactions dating as far back as 2017 were stored and not processed.

Airport President Ed Schmidtke explains the charges are for parking services, adding they are working quickly to ensure anyone affected is reimbursed.

He adds they apologize, and are working with their “third party vendors to investigate and determine the cause of this billing error”.
