City police want to know whether you are satisfied with their service and if you trust them.
It’s part of their 2019 online survey; however, officials will also be going door-to-door to ask questions.
Police say the surveys remain anonymous and responses are confidential.
You can find a link to the survey HERE.
The survey will be conducted from October 21 to November 1, 2019.
Results will be made available in early 2020.
In the last citizen satisfaction survey, consultant Leisa Desmoulin told our newsroom there were different levels of police trust, depending on whether you did the online survey or were questioned in-person.
Desmoulins says, “when we asked if people were treated fairly,” by police, “we had a big difference between the online group which said ‘yes’ and the in-person group who did not have as good an experience.”
The police consultant adds the survey also showed young people and Indigenous residents had less trust in the police as well, which she believes will give authorities a good starting point from which to work from.
