Man Charged After Weekend Disturbance

A 48-year old man of no-fixed address is facing charges after a disturbance in the south end.

Police tell us they were called to the Garden Avenue area, near Mapleward Road, to complaints of a suspicious man late Sunday morning.

They say a man knocked on someone’s door, asking for police to be called as he claimed he was being chased.

The man drove off, but police stopped him on West Arthur Street.

They claim he did not have a licence, but also found a rifle, contraband cigarettes and more than $5,000 Canadian money.

The man is expected in bail court Monday.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
