Plenty of volunteers have come forward to help out a local company to create face masks for people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Whole Nine Yards was originally producing and selling face masks for those who want to wear them during the crisis but many volunteers came forward and started sewing them for the company at no charge.
In a post on the company’s social media page, the company official says it wouldn’t be right for them to make money off of volunteers’ good hearts, so Whole Nine Yards will be donating masks made by volunteer sewers to various areas in our community.
The first donation is going to the cancer clinic for patients.
Whole Nine Yards is now accepting donations of money and fabric for the charity face masks and remind you the mask material must be 100% cotton.
The company is also cutting the fabric, providing instructions, elastic, filters and nose wires at their expense for volunteers who want to help and make masks.
