School Boards Preparing For Extended School Closure

As we get closer to the provincial government extending its closure of schools past April 6th, the Lakehead Public School Board is preparing to continue classes online.

The school board has created an online survey to gauge what technology local families have access to.
The Premier of Ontario has repeatedly said students won’t be going back to school on April 6th during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can take the survey by clicking this LINK.

The Catholic School Board says beginning with the Secondary level, they began the process of reaching out to students and parents through email and phone, regarding devices and connectivity within their homes. In the coming days, Senior Elementary and Elementary families will be contacted. School Principals will help determine the technology needs for each situation.

Students/Families who are unable to respond online can contact their school and leave a phone message. A school representative will return the call of a student or family that is unable to respond digitally.
