Many Thunder Bay residents are learning about spending limits, how contributions work, and managing a campaign, in running for city council in October.
City clerk John Hannam was pleased over 50 people showed up to a recent learning session, easily the biggest group he’s ever seen.
He won’t speculate on whether that indicates how many will actually run, or if it represents the general mood of voters, adding about 30 people usually show.
Hannam says the information was pretty dry, not too exciting, but still a part of the process.
