Hobbs Trial Going Forward

Former Mayor Keith Hobbs, his wife Marisa and a co-accused will have their day in court next month. The three are facing an extortion charge each.

An out of town Superior Court Justice Fletcher Dawson will preside over the matter. The trial is scheduled for four weeks and starts on November 18th.

Previously, defence lawyer Brian Greenspan told our newsroom he was confident heading into the trial and felt the Hobbses will be exonerated.

There is a media ban in place covering the names of some witnesses and their relation to this case.

Court officials confirmed with the trial judge today they were ready to proceed.
