New Autism Program Viewed By Minister

Families of children with autism can expect to see a new provincial program starting in April of next year.

Minister of Children, Community and Social Services Todd Smith revealed today he’s received a report put together by what he calls experts on ways to create a needs based autism system.

The minister adds the 20-member advisory panel worked over the last few months to come up with the recommendations.

He adds the province has increased funding by $600-million.
