Hikers Rescued From Mt. McKay

Two hikers weren’t hurt after getting stranded on Mount McKay yesterday afternoon.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue say they got a call around 4:30 after a 19-year-old man and 24-year-old woman needed help getting down from the mountain.

They found the two hikers after an hour and a half.

Fire officials note the snow on the mountain caused some trouble, adding the two also weren’t able to give firefighters a good description of where they were.
