Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Carolyn Bennett is looking forward to hearing the recommendations that will come out of the inquest into seven First Nation teens deaths in Thunder Bay.
The teens lost their lives after leaving their home communities and moving to Thunder Bay to attend high school. Speaking in Thunder Bay she says she’s saddened that the current system in place has failed them and it has to change.
Bennett adds it takes an inquest to uncover the various elements that lead to deaths. (Photo: Sheri Leviski-Kotyk)
