Five Picked Up In Drug Raid On Franklin Street South

Officers arrest five individuals, including four from Thunder Bay, connected to a drug trafficking investigation.

The raid was carried out 11:00 p.m. Wednesday at the residence on Franklin Street South.

The search turned up cash, ammunition, cocaine, a loaded shotgun and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Police urge landlords who suspect or know of drug trafficking activity taking place in homes they rent to contact them right away.

The charges in this case include:

  • Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Without a Licence
  • Prohibited or Restricted Firearm With Ammunition
  • Disarming a Peace Officer
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Resist Peace Officer
  • Possession of Firearm/ Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Failure to Comply with Judicial Release

All five will re-appear in court at a later date.
