The pandemic has hit another long-term care home, this time in Geraldton.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirmed one staff member of the John Owen Evans Residence tested positive.
Under provincial rules, only one positive case is needed to declare an outbreak in a facility.
The Health Unit and the care home are working with the Geraldton District Hospital to manage surveillance and testing.
