Airline Again Supporting Toys For The North

A big load of toys and other items is heading to First Nation communities in the north.

North Star Air’s Karen Matson says once again they are teaming up with the RCMP and Gardewine trucking for the annual Toys for the North campaign.

The pallet of items landed at the Thunder Bay Airport on Friday on a Hercules aircraft.

Matson tells us “It’s nice to do things for people who…are remote in the north”

Once sorted, the toys will then be transported by Gardewine to North Star Air bases in Red Lake and Pickle Lake where they will then be delivered by air to Pikangikum, Muskrat Dam, Bearskin Lake, and North Spirit Lake next weekend.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
