Contract talks are resuming tomorrow in the elementary teachers’ dispute within the Catholic School Board.
President of the Thunder Bay chapter of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association, Aldo Grillo, says there’ll likely be a media release coming out of the bargaining session and he’s hopeful for good news.
The two sides have been deadlocked over the issue of seniority when it comes to assigning teachers to already-existing positions within the Board. A board official reported there was progress in the last set of negotiations.
While the teachers have avoided going on strike, they have been taking job action.
