City Set To Meet With New PC Government

Thunder Bay is getting ready to meet with the newly elected Progressive Conservative government.

They are sending a delegation to the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in Ottawa that runs Monday to Wednesday.

Mayor Keith Hobbs, City Manager Norm Gale and Councillor Joe Virdiramo are taking part.

Hobbs tells us their goal will be to continue to build the great relationships they have and introduce Thunder Bay to the new Ministers of the Ford government.

They will also be asking for funding for a new correctional facility, infrastructure, and money to implement the recommendations from the Seven Youth Inquest.

19 meetings have been confirmed over the three day conference.
