Blues Bortuzzo Suspended

St. Louis Blues defenceman, Thunder Bay’s Robert Bortuzzo, has been suspended for one regular season game and the rest of the NHL pre-season.

The league says it was for elbowing Washington Capitals defenceman Michal Kempny in St. Louis on Tuesday.

It means Bortuzzo will forfeit $6,182.

The money will be going to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
