The Thunder Bay Police Service has released its 2025 annual report.
“The statistics included throughout the report tell part of the story: ours remains a busy service, responding to a high volume and wide variety of calls, while continuing to adapt to increasingly complex demands,” wrote TBPS Chief Darcy Fleury.
“At the same time, this report showcases the human side of policing. It reflects the professionalism of frontline officers responding to unpredictable and high-risk situations, the compassion shown by our Communications Operators who are often the first point of contact in emergencies, and the commitment of civilian and sworn members working behind the scenes to support service delivery.”
Fleury’s optimism was echoed by TBPS Board Chair Karen Machado.
“The Board will continue to build on this year’s progress by working together with the Service, the public, and all partners,” she said. “Strengthening public trust is ongoing work, and the Board remains committed to transparent governance, responsible stewardship of public funds, and continuous improvement in civilian oversight.”
