Dennis Adam Levanen

December 23, 1961 – May 28, 2025

Our loving partner, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend, Mr. Dennis Adam Levanen, age 63 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on May 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Fort William, Ontario on December 23, 1961. No matter where Dennis worked, home was always being close to family. Fishing was his favourite pastime, along with bonfires and spending time with people who loved him. We will miss his crazy stories, potty mouth and him just being who he was.

Having Dennis in my life was a priceless gift. He never forgot my birthday, Valentines Day and most importantly, November 5th, 1995 which was the day we started our adventure together.

Dennis was blessed to have a strong, loving and caring family. He will be deeply missed by his spouse, Wendy; son Jaison and daughters Tammy and Teri; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Janet; brothers Donny (Donna), Lornie (Nancy), Glen (Jan); sister-in-law Rita and brother-in-law Al Sr., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Saul and Beatrice; brother Robert and sister Karen.

Thank you to everyone for your support and help during these sad times. Your love and care will never be forgotten. – Wendy

A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Unifor Hall (112 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
