Ken Wilson

The family of Ken Wilson are deeply saddened to announce his death on September 10, 2025. Ken, age 74, resident of Surprise Lake, Gorham Ontario, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital with his family by his side.

Born on November 18, 1950 in Toronto, he was employed in the telecommunications industry in Ottawa and Calgary for over thirty years.

When retired, he was able to pursue his passions for travel, real estate, gardening and golf. He especially enjoyed his Wednesday men’s league at Whitewater with Pat, Dan, and Bob. He was devoted to his family and friends and lived a rich and fulfilling life.

Ken loved his three sons Shawn (Lisa), Jamie, and Mark, and dear friend Trent (Carleigh). He is much loved by his family and is survived by his loving wife Linda, sisters Barb, Linda (Bob), and Jackie (Murray) as well as stepchildren, Tamara (Russ), Hayley (Scott) and Martin (Dannielle). He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Asher and Allegra. Ken will be missed by his family, and close friends, including Peter and Ian, and many others, as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Lynne Harold and Jean, and son Jamie.

Ken’s family share their heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional care he received at multiple agencies including Northern Physiotherapy, The Cancer Centre, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice. His health care team included, Drs. M. Wainwright, K. Simpson, A. Chan, K. Ramchandar, K. Ward, M. Anthes, P. Teixeira, M. Bassuony, N. Ramsoondar, and the care providers at St. Joseph’s Hospice including Theresa, Katherine, Lucas, and many others.

Following Ken’s wishes, he has been cremated, and there will not be a funeral. Ken can be remembered by contributing to Thunder Bay Salvation Army, Thunder Bay District Humane Society, or a charity of your choice.
