Allen Charles Main

December 30, 1953 – September 9, 2025

Allen Charles Main, age 71, of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, with family lovingly by his side.

Born in Port Arthur on December 30, 1953, Allen was raised and educated in Thunder Bay, where he built a life rooted in community and connection. A proud member of Local UA 628, his work as a tradesman took him across Canada—from Alberta to Saskatchewan—but his heart always led him back home.

In his later years, Allen found joy behind the wheel, driving shuttle buses for sporting tournaments across Northern Ontario and transporting players to and from Grand Portage Lodge and Casino. He cherished the camaraderie and the chance to stay engaged with people and places he loved.

Allen is survived by his sister Heather (Randy), his brother Ted, and many nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Doug and Ken.

Known for his warm spirit and love of conversation, Allen made time for family reunions and visits, nurturing close relationships with those around him. He shared a particularly special bond with his great-nephew Thomas, whose presence brought him immense joy.

Allen was a passionate supporter of his community. He could often be found attending live theatre, music concerts, and local farmers’ markets—always eager to celebrate the talents and efforts of others.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at 459 Poleline Road, Rosslyn, ON.
