Nearly $6M Spent On Snow Clearing To Date

Thunder Bay has spent $5,047,904 on snow clearing efforts.

In an email to Acadia News, spokesperson Stacey Levanen indicated that including commitments of $369,522.94, the city has spent 90 per cent of the 2022 budget to date.

Acting Roads Manager Ian Spoljarich noted that his crews have dealt with fifteen major winter events since the beginning of 2022, with a couple more days of cleanup after the fact.

Some forecasts are calling for another five centimetres of snow beginning on Wednesday.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
