Gravelle Apologizes For Government Email

The Liberal Member of Provincial Parliament is forced to apologize for an email.

Michael Gravelle (Thunder Bay-Superior North) was looking for help from both Minister of Health Christine Elliott and Minister of Long-Term Care when it came to a constituent who didn’t want to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

In the October 14th email, Gravelle attached a message from the 30-year personal support worker (PSW) from Terrace Bay who was facing job loss if they didn’t get the vaccine and added, “As MPP, I hope that some accommodation of vaccine-refusing workers in Ontario might be made.”

In a statement Wednesday, Gravelle expressed regret for the letter, and stressed he stands firmly behind the Liberal Party’s call for mandatory vaccinations.

Gravelle noted, “In my effort to assist a constituent, I made a mistake and, as I said, I regret doing that. It will not happen again.”

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
