Funds To Install Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Plug in Thunder Bay has picked up funds from the federal government.

On Wednesday, the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) unveiled that the money will be used to install electric vehicle charging stations, with the goal to address the lack of charging and refueling stations.

The CEDC is accepting applications from companies, institutions, entrepreneurs, and property owners to obtain an up to 50% contribution towards purchasing and installing Level 2 chargers or fast chargers.

The deadline to apply is Friday, December 17.
