Eric Staal is coming back to Canada.
The Thunder Bay product was dealt to the Montreal Canadiens Friday from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a third and a fifth round pick.
The 36 year old compiled 10 points in 32 games with the Sabres and will have to quarantine for at least seven days before joining the Canadiens.
