Paramedics Answer The Call For COVID Testing

As the COVID-19 outbreak persists at Southbridge Roseview long term care, paramedics are helping.

Superior North EMS official Shane Muir tells us on Thursday they tested all staff for the coronavirus in an effort to ease the burden on other health care workers who are testing residents as well.

“Because they were doing in-house staff testing as well…those health professionals were tied up looking after residents and get that testing done so we reached out to them and offered our assistance,” explains Muir.

The EMS official adds they were able to do the testing because of the help of their off-duty paramedics who were willing to “Do anything and everything they can to provide service and support.”
