More Legal Action Over Pinhole Leaks

St. Joseph’s Care Group confirms it is seeking compensation from the city because of pinhole leaks at P.R. Cook Apartments on Carrie Street.

Officials with the organization tell our newsroom “No statement will be issued at this time as St. Joseph’s Care Group will not comment on matters before the courts.”

While officials did not confirm the amount they are seeking, reports say it is for $350,000.

City Manager Norman Gale says the city can offer no comment at this time.

It is the second time this week news of legal action has been reported over the issue.

A group of citizens lead by Patsy Stadnyk served the city with a $350 million suit over the problem which they insist is the result of the sodium hydroxide which the city added to the water supply.

None of the accusations have been proven in court.
