Yet another delay before Porter planes are back in the air.
The company says based on continuing travel restrictions due to COVID-19, it’ll be December 15th before Porter flies again.
Porter’s President and CEO adds the federal government needs more confidence in knowing the course of the pandemic, before travel restrictions are reconsidered. He’s also hopeful restrictions can be eased soon given evolving technology, such as rapid testing, and other health and safety measures the travel industry is investing in.
Porter is waiving change and cancellation fees on all fares booked to December 15th.
The airline first suspended flights temporarily March 21st, due to COVID-19.
