A bush fire is the cause of a lot of smoke in the south end at McKellar Island.
Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue were called to Carpenter Street around 6 o’clock last night, to find the smoke was due to a 1-hectare blaze.
It was put out about four hours later, and the cause is not known yet.
