The province’s crackdown on alleged criminal activity in the towing industry is being coordinated by Thunder Bay’s John Henderson.
Premier Doug Ford announced the formation of the group last week.
Henderson tells us he became involved with the Fair Towing Task Force through a local connection.
“I’ve worked with Dave Allen of Gary’s Towing and Dave introduced me to the president of the Provincial Towing Association of Ontario…who are the good guys and they were the ones who asked me if I could get regulations passed,” notes Henderson.
The towing task force coordinator hopes the group will help weed out the criminal element in the towing industry adding, “The people who are causing the problems should never allowed to be in the industry.”
Henderson hopes the task force will have recommendations to the government this fall.
