Home Invasion Suspect Sought

Police are looking for a suspect in a north-side home invasion.

They report they were called to a residence on the 300 block of Pearl Street at about 12:45 Sunday morning to investigate the incident.

There they found an unconscious woman who was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. She was later released.

Police were told she was assaulted by a male who came into the home through an unlocked door. A man in the house was also hurt trying to help the woman.

The intruder escaped down a nearby alley.

Police say the incident was random and unprovoked. The victims and suspect are not believed to have known each other.

The suspect is described as a male standing about 5’8” tall with a stocky build. He wore a dark plaid poncho-style hoodie at the time of the incident.
