A second-degree murder charge has been officially laid against a local woman.
21-year-old Lyrina Jacob appeared in court this morning and is back in custody.
The victim is a woman who was pronounced dead yesterday at a north-side apartment building.
Police are not releasing the victim’s name until they notify her family.
A post-mortem is scheduled for today in Thunder Bay.
Officers are still guarding the scene on Dawson Street.
