A man is facing charges after a south-side assault.
City police say he’s accused in the incident that happened in the Violet Street area just after 1 AM Thursday morning.
Police say an argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, who then retreated into their apartment. The suspect forced his way into the apartment and assaulted the victim.
Police were then called to a disturbance in the same area the next day, around 3:30 Friday morning.
During that investigation, they say he gave a false name, but officers were able to identify him as the suspect in the Thursday morning assault.
The 25-year-old is charged with Assault, Breaking and Entering, Uttering Threats, and Obstruct Peace Officer.
